Yarns & Carding skeins

1-thread Wool Yarn		Wool yarn Yarn from Swedish wool is strong, soft and easy to knit. It is excellent for weaving and if you wish to felt the finished garment our Swedish wool is also suitable for this. In the past women felted both knitted and woven clothing once weaving was complete. The varigated colours (mixed shades) of the yarn makes Ullcentrum’s yarn special. The yarn is available in one strand, 6/1, two strands, 6/2, or three strands, 6/3. For machine knitting we have yarns on cones in a thickness of 8/2.
2-thread Wool Yarn
Pre Yarn		Pre yarn Pre yarn is when the wool is at a stage between carding and spinning, and can be used for knitting or decorative felting. It can be knitted alone, with two or three pre yarn threads together, or with spun yarn. Pre yarn makes the clothes softer and can also give interesting effects when felted in the washing machine.
Linen Yarn		Linen yarn Ullcentrum also spins a linen/cotton yarn made up of 3 strands of linen and one cotton thread. Most of the colours are dyed in four different shades then twisted together which makes it look interesting and alive.
Carding skeins		Carded skeins The carded skeins are made in small rolls of 100 grams, bigger packs of 1 kg or in ‘pick & mix’ bags of 20 grams. The wool is mainly suitable for felting but also for hand spinning.
